These babies came from the Oxford Lafayette Humane Society. Each guy or gal showed off his/her personality as soon as they were held.
I have found that some of the wackiest, most memorable pets I’ve had came from a shelter. There was Esmay, a gorgeous, fluffy, light orange girl who was by far the most eccentric. She would be completely normal, nosing around the other animals in the house, and then, enticed by something only Esmay would notice, she would ruuuunnn from one room to the next with eyes wild and ears back. After the days of Esmay, we got Stormy. With a tail that twitches 1,000 times per minute, she is adventurous and bossy. She growls and attaches herself to my shoes when I won’t let her outside. However, at the first sound of thunder, she dashes for the house, ready to snuggle up to the nearest, welcoming human.
They are some of life’s little blessings. They make the home fun and have a great sense of knowing when to come snuggle. All in all, each pet has its quirks, has its story and is waiting to have a place in your heart.
